Welcome to the "Mood Changes in Dance Classes for Children and Adolescents: A Longitudinal Study" study. By participating in this study, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using the Raising the Barre Mood Tracking App ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
The App is a research tool designed to track mood states before and after dance classes. Features include:
- Voice-activated participant identification
- Emoji-based mood selection
- Pre and post-class mood tracking
- Secure data transmission
3. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION
Users must be:
- Participating in the "Mood Changes in Dance Classes for Children and Adolescents" research study
- Have signed consent/assent forms on file
- Between ages 5-17 (with parent/guardian consent)
4. PRIVACY AND DATA COLLECTION
The App collects:
- Participant name and unique identifier
- Mood selections before and after class
- Time and date of entries
- Class attendance data

5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Users agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Use the App only during designated class times
- Maintain the confidentiality of their responses
- Not share access with others
- Report any technical issues promptly
6. DATA ACCURACY AND INTEGRITY
The App includes measures to ensure data integrity:
- Time-restricted access during class hours
- Two entries per class session. One entry prior to class and one at the end of class.
- No retroactive data entry
- No modification of submitted responses
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Raising the Barre and protected by intellectual property laws.
8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Technical malfunctions
- Data loss
- Unauthorized access
- Service interruptions
- Indirect or consequential damages
9. TERMINATION OF SERVICE
We may terminate or suspend access to the App:
- Upon withdrawal from the research study
- For violation of these Terms
- For technical maintenance
- At the conclusion of the research study
10. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE
We reserve the right to:
- Modify these Terms
- Update the App
- Change functionality
- Discontinue features
Users will be notified of significant changes.
11. RESEARCH PARTICIPATION
Use of this App is part of the "Mood Changes in Dance Classes for Children and Adolescents" research study. Participation is voluntary, and users may withdraw at any time without penalty.

13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States.
14. SEVERABILITY

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between users and the App regarding its use.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
For users under 18:
